Based on Charles Ying’s delicious CSS demo Snow Stack I put together a bookmarklet for WebKit nightlies, which allows you to browse the images of a webpage on a 3D picture wall à la Cooliris, fully accelerated by GPU. I also added mouse wheel support. The original Snow Stack source code is available at the css-vfx project page under an Apache License 2.0.

For now, I’ve set up the bookmarklet to only load JPEGs onto the wall. Feel free to adapt this very basic parsing to your needs!
